About Me
Background
I was born into the arts, with a passion for singing, dancing, and the visual arts. As a dancer and singer, my passion for textile design grew because I love to stand out, so I would design the textiles used for my costumes. I love my art because it completes me.
Medium
As an artist, I speak with my art. The medium I use at any given time is the dialect I choose to communicate with. I dance, sing, paint, and do textiles, wearable art. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. I love allowing each idea to manifest in its own individual style or dialect.
Inspiration
I enjoy creating and allowing myself to let go. I adore letting my pen take over to write spirit-lifting lyrics and songs, using my pencil to take over the canvas, allowing ink to design the fine lines and strokes, and my brush to design patterns of the dying art of Adire.
